Every casino bonus has four variables that determine whether you can actually clear it:
- Wagering multiplier (the “x” number) — how many times you must play the bonus/deposit before withdrawing. 30x is standard, 40x+ is aggressive, 50x+ is predatory.
- Whether it applies to bonus or deposit+bonus — this doubles or halves the grind. Always prefer “bonus only” wagering.
- Max bet with active bonus — typically $5-$10. Exceeding this voids the bonus. Critical if you hit a big win on a higher bet.
- Expiry period — 30 days is standard. 7-day expiry bonuses are often impossible to clear unless you play daily.

The headline bonus number (“$3000!”) is marketing. The wagering requirement is the real cost. A $100 bonus with 30xB is easier to clear than a $3,000 bonus at 50x D+B with $5 max bet — and the expected value for the player is actually higher on the smaller bonus.
