Trustly lets you deposit and withdraw at a casino straight from your bank account — no card numbers, no e-wallet signup — and it powers “Pay N Play” casinos where your bank login is your registration. It is genuinely one of the fastest withdrawal methods in the industry. The catch, which most “best Trustly casinos” lists won’t tell you: Trustly casino coverage is concentrated in locally licensed European markets, and many international casinos simply don’t offer it. Here is the honest picture.

What Trustly actually does at a casino
- Deposits: you pick your bank in the cashier, log in with your normal bank authentication, approve the payment. Money arrives instantly, no card details shared with the casino.
- Withdrawals: paid back to the same bank account — often within minutes once the casino approves, because Trustly settles account-to-account.
- Pay N Play: at casinos built on this model, your first deposit creates the account. Your identity comes from your bank login, so there is no separate registration form. This is the real “casino without registration” technology.
Trustly is a licensed Swedish payment institution supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority — the rails themselves are bank-grade.
Where Trustly casinos actually exist
Trustly works with gambling merchants mainly in locally licensed markets — think Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK (via open banking). If a casino holds a local licence where you live, there is a good chance Trustly is in the cashier.
International casinos licensed in Curaçao or Anjouan that accept players from Norway, Ireland or Canada generally do not offer Trustly. They rely on cards, crypto and e-wallets instead. If you see an offshore casino advertising Trustly to those markets, treat it as a red flag and verify in the cashier before depositing.
Betsson and Trustly
Among the brands we cover, Betsson is the classic Trustly operator — its licensed European sites have used Trustly for years, and it pioneered fast bank-transfer withdrawals. Availability still depends on which Betsson country site you play on, so confirm in the cashier. Read our Betsson review for the full picture on licensing and payout speed.
Casino med Trustly i Norge — the Norway situation
Norwegian players searching for a “casino med Trustly” run into a specific problem: Norway’s payment-blocking rules (betalingsformidlingsforbudet) restrict banks from processing gambling transactions for unlicensed operators, and Trustly does not serve that traffic. In practice, casinos accepting Norwegian players use cards and crypto instead — we cover what actually works in our guide to new Norwegian casinos and our Vipps casino explainer. Any site promising Norwegians Trustly deposits deserves extra scepticism.
Trustly vs the alternatives on withdrawal speed
| Method | Typical withdrawal time | Where you’ll find it |
|---|---|---|
| Trustly / instant bank | Minutes to a few hours after approval | Locally licensed EU casinos |
| Crypto (BTC/USDT) | Minutes after approval | International casinos |
| Card withdrawal | 1–3 banking days | Almost everywhere |
| Standard bank transfer | 1–5 banking days | Almost everywhere |
The bottleneck is usually the casino’s internal approval, not the payment rail — our July 2026 payout study measured exactly that across the brands we track.
Our withdrawal speed database compiles the published windows by operator, and the payment method matrix shows which rails appear in which markets.
If Trustly isn’t available where you play
The closest experience at international casinos is instant crypto withdrawals. Of the sites we review, MyStake supports both cards and crypto with quick approval times — visit MyStake to check the cashier for your country.
Pay N Play: deposit and account creation in one step
Pay N Play is Trustly’s own product and the reason the company matters in this industry at all. It is worth understanding properly, because it changes what a casino account even is.
On a conventional site you register, enter your details, verify your identity, wait for approval, then deposit. Pay N Play collapses that into a single action: you choose your bank, authenticate with your normal banking credentials, and the deposit and the account are created together. Your verified name, address and date of birth come from the bank, which already holds them to a regulated standard.
- There is no username or password. You return to the casino by authenticating with your bank again. Nothing to forget, and nothing for the operator to leak.
- Identity checks happen up front. The bank has already done them. This is the real advantage: the withdrawal delay that catches most players out is a KYC delay, and here it has already happened.
- Withdrawals return to the same account automatically. There is no payout method to choose, because there is only one possible destination.
- It only works where Trustly has bank coverage. No coverage, no Pay N Play — which is why the option appears and disappears depending on where you are.
The trade-off is that you cannot spread play across payment methods, and closing the loop is deliberate: the same bank account funds you and pays you.
What Trustly actually is, underneath
Trustly is a Swedish payments company, founded in 2008 and authorised as a payment institution by Finansinspektionen, the Swedish financial supervisory authority. It is not a wallet and not a card scheme, and that distinction explains most of its behaviour.
- It moves money account to account. There is no card network in the middle, which is why deposits clear immediately and withdrawals can be much faster than a card refund.
- It holds no balance for you. Unlike an e-wallet there is nothing to top up. Money leaves your bank and arrives at the casino.
- It runs on open banking. Under PSD2, licensed providers can initiate payments from your account with your explicit authorisation. Trustly is one of them.
- Your bank sees a payment to Trustly. Not the casino name, in most cases. This is a common source of confusion when people check statements, and it is not a privacy feature — the casino still knows exactly who you are.
Trustly at Irish casinos
Ireland is one of the better-covered markets, because open banking is well established with the Irish retail banks.
- Bank coverage is the deciding factor, not the casino. If your bank is supported, the option appears; if it is not, no amount of looking at the cashier will produce it.
- Trustly and Revolut are not alternatives to each other. Trustly initiates a payment from an account; a Revolut card is a Visa or Mastercard presented to a card processor. Different rails entirely. See our Revolut casinos guide for the card route.
- Withdrawal speed is where it earns its place. A card refund runs on card-network timelines regardless of how quickly the casino approves it. An account-to-account transfer does not.
- It does not change the licence question. A fast, well-regulated payment rail into a poorly regulated casino is still a poorly regulated casino. Check the licence separately — our Irish licensing position sets out where regulation currently stands.

New casinos offering Trustly: what to check first
Trustly support is often read as a quality signal, on the reasoning that a regulated payment provider has vetted the operator. Treat that carefully.
- Payment providers do run checks — onboarding is not automatic, and it is a weak positive signal.
- But it is not a licence. Trustly assesses whether an operator is a viable payments client, not whether it treats players fairly or pays out disputed winnings.
- Coverage changes without notice. An operator that offered Trustly last year may not now, particularly where regulation has moved. Check the live cashier rather than any review, ours included.
- Confirm withdrawals, not just deposits. Some sites accept Trustly on the way in and route you elsewhere on the way out, which discards most of the benefit.
When Trustly does not work: the five usual causes
Trustly failing is rarely a fault with Trustly. It is almost always one of these, in roughly this order of likelihood.
- Your bank is not in the list. Coverage is bank by bank, not country by country, and smaller banks and newer app-only banks are frequently missing. If your bank is not on the selection screen, there is nothing to configure — the route does not exist for you at that casino.
- Your bank blocks gambling merchants. Many banks now offer a gambling block, and some enable it by default. It applies to the payment regardless of the rail, and where a bank imposes a cooling-off period after you switch it off, that delay applies too.
- The name on the accounts does not match. Trustly passes your verified name from the bank. If the casino account was opened under a different spelling, a maiden name, or somebody else’s name, the transaction fails and, at most operators, so does any later withdrawal. Payment methods must be in your own name everywhere — this is a regulatory requirement, not a preference.
- The authentication window timed out. Bank approval prompts expire quickly. Start the payment with your banking app already open.
- The operator dropped the rail. Coverage changes, often with no announcement. If Trustly worked at a site last month and does not now, it has probably been withdrawn for your market rather than broken for you.
One thing worth knowing before you troubleshoot at all: if the deposit succeeded but the withdrawal is stuck, the problem is almost never the payment rail. It is identity verification, and the fix is to complete it now rather than wait — that is the part of the timeline you control.
FAQ
Is Trustly safe?
Yes — it is a regulated payment institution and you authenticate directly with your own bank. The casino never sees your bank credentials.
Does Trustly charge fees?
Casinos almost never pass on a Trustly fee to players. Your bank side is normally free too.
Why can’t I find Trustly in the cashier?
Most likely your country isn’t a market Trustly serves for gambling, or the casino’s licence doesn’t cover it. It is a market issue, not an account issue.
What is a Pay N Play casino?
A casino where depositing via Trustly-style bank login is the registration — no forms. These exist only in markets where Trustly (or an equivalent) operates with locally licensed casinos.
